Rise & Shine

The overarching goal of the "Rise and Shine" project is to empower migrant and refugee women in the Netherlands to become political leaders, addressing the systematic underrepresentation they face. The project aims to provide these women with the necessary information, resources, and spaces to organize, mobilize, and participate actively in local politics.

Three Project Objectives

One - Empowerment through Information: To provide timely relevant information to migrant and refugee women about political processes, leadership, and civic engagement.

​

Two - Creation of Spaces: To establish physical and digital spaces in Rotterdam and the Hague for migrant women to organise, share experiences, and mobilise for political representation.

​

Three - Feminist Leadership Development: To identify, support, and empower feminist leaders within the migrant and refugee communities.
